Ford GT Races To Forza Motorsport 6 Cover

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - The Ford GT is a high performance sports car desired by stars such Justin Verlander, and soon, video gamers around the world.
The new Ford GT supercar - unveiled in January - will be on the cover of the new Forza Motorsport 6 video game.
"We like the idea that Forza allows us to make the Ford GT accessible and approachable for so many people," Henry Ford III, Ford Performance Marketing Chief, told WWJ's Jeff Gilbert. "While they may never be able to drive the car in real life, they can drive the car in this game."
Landing the cover of the Forza Motorsport game is similar to a football player being named to the cover of the Madden football game.
Ford said this is the latest Ford Motor Co. product to be featured in in the game, and the first on the cover of Forza.
"We like the idea that we can reach them in a new environment," Ford said about the ability reach customers, and those passionate about cars, in the new game.
