What's It Like To Take Your First Sip Of Alcohol At 23? Harrison Barnes Finds Out After Warriors Win

I myself was a late bloomer, testing out my first beer when I was 17 years old.

But Golden State Warriors' forward Harrison Barnes has me beat. Barnes, 23, had gone his entire life without ever even having a sip of alcohol. He changed that after the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 6 of the NBA Finals.

When asked about his previous teetotalism, Barnes said, "That's over. I'm celebrating."

According to SI.com:

Two Warriors famously abstain from alcohol, Iguodala and Harrison Barnes, and both were under more pressure to drink than college freshmen. "They didn't get me," Iguodala claimed. "They got me," Barnes admitted. When Barnes slipped out the door a little before 3 a.m., saying he needed to shower back at the Ritz, reserve guard Justin Holiday hollered after him: "You're going to be asleep in 10 minutes." Barnes, true to his word, returned. The party churned past 5 a.m. Curry was among the last to leave.

I wonder about the look on his face when it first hit his lips. Did he go all 'Frank the Tank?'
