Woman Shot, Sister Arrested After Fight Over Clothing

BENTON HARBOR (AP) — A 29-year-old southwestern Michigan woman was in critical condition after being shot during a fight with her younger sister over clothing.

Police in Benton Harbor say officers responding to a report of the shooting forced their way Friday morning into a home and found Camelia Dixon suffering a gunshot wound to her lower left side.

Dixon's 23-year-old sister has been arrested. She faces attempted murder, domestic violence and gun charges.

Police say an argument between the sisters escalated and became violent. A 9 mm handgun was recovered.
