DETROIT (WWJ) - Police and a Detroit mom are reaching out to the public for help to bring a missing 14-year-old girl home safe.

Kiara Sullivan was last seen at her home, in the 11000 block of Kennebec, on Tuesday.

Her mother, Cynthia Sullivan, said she last saw said Kiara when she left for work that day; but, when she returned, the front door was unlocked and the teen was gone.

A note was found that indicated may be headed to the southern area of the country, possibly Atlanta, Georgia.

Kiara is described as a black female, around 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 300 lbs. with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion. She walks with a limp due to a bad right knew, and may be wearing a blue front zippered hoodie sweatshirt with "Hollister" in white lettering on the front.

Police said Kiara is in good mental and physical condition.

Anyone who has seen this missing teen or who may have information on her whereabouts is asked to please call Detroit police at 313-596-5940
