Man Believed To Be Under The Influence Of Hallucinogens Stabs Himself

PONTIAC (WWJ) -- A Pontiac man was in transported to a local hospital after allegedly stabbing himself early Saturday morning.

Oakland County deputies were called to a home on Brooks Ave. at around 2:20 am on Saturday where they found a 20-year-old man in a pool of blood, being subdued by another individual.

Additional information indicated that the man had stabbed himself. Detectives later learned the man may have ingested a large amount of a hallucinogenic drug.

The man was taken to McLaren Hospital where he is currently listed in "guarded" condition.

Authorities said that a marijuana grow operation was found in the basement of the home. The incident remains under investigation.
