Dort Federal Credit Union Gets Naming Rights For Flint Hockey Arena
FLINT, Mich. (AP) - The home of the Flint Firebirds hockey team will be the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center.
IMS Hockey Corp. and Dort Federal Credit Union announced the name Thursday, saying a 10-year partnership includes naming rights.
Financial terms weren't disclosed. It's the first naming rights deal for Dort Federal Credit Union. In a separate transaction, IMS Hockey and the credit union will enhance their sponsorship relationship with additional advertising, marketing and merchandising.
Owned by IMS Arena Corp., the former Perani Arena is home to the Ontario Hockey League team that's moving from suburban Detroit.
