Mike Cox of Macomb Township arrived downtown hours before the show so he could set up the grill and tailgate with friends reports WWJ's Sandra McNeill.

"It'll be my third time," said Cox, of seeing the Rolling Stones in concert. "They are great live. Favorite live band. Greatest rock 'n roll band in the world."

"Raising kids, now the kids are gone, we've got a little more money," said fan Margo McHenry who was celebrating a birthday at the Stones concert.

Fans crossed the generational gap - grandparents took their adult children - some parents made the concert the first concert for their children.
