Tigers Call Up Dixon Machado, Place Marc Krauss On Paternity List

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Tigers have recalled infielder Dixon Machado from Triple-A Toledo and put infielder Marc Krauss on the paternity list.

Machado was selected an International League All-Star, and he's hit .272 in 81 games for the Mud Hens this year. He played three games earlier this season for the Tigers.

The Tigers claimed the 27-year-old Krauss off waivers earlier this month, and he played six games for Detroit while fellow first baseman Miguel Cabrera has been recovering from an injury.
