No Answers Yet On Car Fires Near Comerica Park

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Something was on fire at Comerica Park Sunday, and it wasn't the Detroit Tigers.

As the slumping team continued their losing ways, seven cars were incinerated inside a parking lot near the stadium.

Fans could see heavy black smoke pouring out from the lot, starting at about 3:30 p.m. The team was inside losing 9-3.

The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

There's no official word from the Detroit Fire Department on what caused the blaze, however there is speculation it was caused by a malfunctioning power line feeding a malfunctioning electronic billboard near the lot.
