Nervous Detroit Tigers fans will soon have their answer as to whether or not the team will sell its assets at the July 31 trade deadline.

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Tigers will be sellers at the deadline, reaching out to other teams across the league to see what they can net for ace starting pitcher David Price and outfielder Yoenis Cespedes.

"The Tigers, according to several people inside and outside the organization familiar with their strategy, plan to put ace David Price and power-hitting outfielder Yoenis Cespedes on the trade market.

Yet, when contacted Monday, Tigers president and general manager Dave Dombrowski told USA TODAY Sports that no decision had been finalized."

After a 5-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Monday night, the Tigers (46-46) still struggle to stay around .500, good enough for 10 games back of the Kansas City Royals in the AL Central Division and four games behind the second Wild Card seed.

Nearing the end of their contracts, there has been debate over what the Tigers could get in return for Price and Cespedes in trades this late in the season. The Tigers acquired Price at the trade deadline in 2014 in exchange for Austin Jackson and Drew Smyly.

Cespedes came to Detroit along with pitcher Alex Wilson during the MLB Winter Meetings from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for pitcher Rick Porcello. Cespedes was traded from the Oakland Athletics to the Red Sox at last year's trade deadline.
