Squirrels, Emotions and the Outback can pretty much some yesterday's episode of Big Brother. Vanessa didn't do a dive into a pool of blood after staying as HOH for the week, however the lines were definitely drawn. Meanwhile John continues to enjoy his week off the block. Shelli was panicking for her showmance Clay as he and Becky were on the block. Austin finally tries to kiss his fate with Liz and did it cost him the game? Here's my recap of last night's episode.

Who Is The Target?

Is Austin's the target; Steve's the target but Becky and Clay were definitely not suppose to be staying on the block. After the BOTB competition, Liz had a suspicion that James may have tried to throw the competition. Meanwhile James was trying to do his own damage control by assuring Vanessa, Clay, Shelli and Becky that he had thrown the competition. Poor Vanessa, having to stay in power and now having to have the difficult task of putting up Austin, hopefully after someone from her alliance winning POV.

Austin Loves Liz

So the "Nomance," of Austin in Liz is in full bloom. Unfortunately for Austin, he doesn't realize Liz is not reciprocating the same feelings he's having. Liz enjoys Austin's company, but that's it. The kiss was sparks for Austin but for Liz it was a moment she wants to forget. I wonder how Austin will be once Julia is in the house. I predict Liz will start spending more time away from Austin and more with her sister. But Austin may just see it as playing hard to get. Hopefully Austin get's his head back in the game or he may be heading out the door before he knows it.

Nuts for Veto

With the POV competition Shelli, Austin and John were selected to compete with Vanessa the reigning HOH and the two nominees Clay and Becky. The competition was a classic Big Brother game, moving a ball or in this case a "nut" from one side to the other without it dropping to the ground. The first player to have successfully passed the "nuts" 250 times would win the POV. At the beginning Clay was keeping a strong lead, while Becky and John were right behind him. Liz, Shelli and Vanessa were struggling as they kept having their "nuts," fall to the ground. Nearing the end, Clay kept taking longer breaks and with that John was able to slowly inch his way closer to Clay in "nuts." For Becky she had dropped her nuts at more than half way to then start back at zero. On a random note, Steve's happiness at Becky's failure in this competition was odd and unnecessary in my opinion. It was one of his two segments in yesterday's episode. In the end Clay won the POV and his first competition for the season.

One Side Or The Other

With Clay winning the POV, it's pretty clear that Austin should be the replacement nominee, right? But Vanessa being in an emotional roller coaster, wanted to let Liz in on the plan, now that Clay won and would be removing himself from the block. Liz was surprised to hear Austin would try and separate her and Julia to only be with her. Surprisingly Liz came to Austin's defense saying he would be a number for Vanessa. Then Austin has a conversation with his ally Vanessa about everything that has transpired for the week. Filling him in on being the possible replacement nominee, to feeling betrayed and all Austin could do was plead for his survival in the game.

What surprised me the most during this plea was how Shelli and Clay had all the power to decide what will happen. Neither of them are in power, but both are apart of the Sixth Sense alliance and wanted to make sure Vanessa wasn't going to make a rash decision in losing a number for their alliance. In not backdooring Austin there would need to be a replacement nominee and the selection was getting slimmer. In Vanessa's eyes she wanted to make sure her alliance was all on board because in blindsiding a houseguest to be put up against Beck that isn't Austin would be creating a divide.

And a divide there is as Jason was blindsided and nominated for eviction this week. The reactions from James, Jackie and especially Meg were great. I can't wait to hear what happens after post POV ceremony in tonight's episode. Austin said as "Judas," he was happy not to be evicted and will most likely make sure to seal Jason's fate for eviction.

My Prediction for Eviction & HOH

I think Jason will survive this week surprise the other side of the house. What really will make the swing votes are those floaters currently in the game, John, Steve and Liz. It will be a 5-4 vote to evict Becky. Even though Liz is aligned with the Sixth Sense Alliance, she will do what's best for her game and her sister. Which would be smart to keep Jason to keep the target small from herself and Julia. Also creating a strong divide of the house, which is something we finally needed this season. However I wouldn't be surprised either if Jason was evicted in a 6-3 vote. I am hopeful that we will see Jason survive this week. For HOH I hope Meg and Steve win next week to really shake up the house.

Tune in tonight at 9pm on CBS Detroit 62 for the Live Eviction episode. We'll see what had transpired after the POV ceremony, if Jason or Becky can save himself or herself from eviction. Plus how will the houseguests react when Julia enters the game as an individual instead of just being the "other Liz," playing the game. Will we also see another BB Takeover tonight? Tune in and find out!
