Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation Takes The Action And Excitement To A New Level

DETROIT (WWJ) - Ethan Hunt is back, and he faces his most dangerous mission yet: he must prove that a group of renegade spies known as The Syndicate is real. And it's up to him to bring them down before they destroy the free world.

In "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation," Tom Cruise returns as IMF agent Ethan Hunt. Just when you think Hunt may be in over his head, he finds a way to surprise. The opening scene gets the adrenaline rushing, but that's just a tease. The motorcycle chase scene also sends hearts racing; and then there's the daring underwater scene.

But, Hunt and company aren't done yet; there's much more to come before this movie wraps up with a twist that I'm willing to bet most viewers won't see coming.

So if you think you've seen it all when it comes to action and suspense, think again. This movie, as with all of the previous four films in the always high-stakes Mission Impossible franchise, takes the action and excitement to a whole new level. The evil Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) is a force not many foes would want to reckon with; his henchmen will stop at nothing to bring Hunt down; and British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson) keeps Hunt at arms' length and always guessing.

The heart-pounding action will, most assuredly, satisfy longtime "Mission Impossible" fans, but the film still wouldn't be complete without a bit of romance tossed in along with some humor. And "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" does not disappoint.

Back for the ride are Hunt's fellow IMF agents William Brandt (Jeremy Renner); whiz-kid Benji (Simon Pegg); and Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames). Along with Ferguson starring as Faust, and Harris as Lane, also new to the action is CIA Director Alan Hunley (Alec Baldwin).
