LANSING (WWJ) - Authorities say an Amber Alert for a 16-year-old autistic girl has been canceled.

Authorities say Oniesha Tanner was found Friday morning about six hours after she was reported missing. Police tell WWJ that Tanner is safe and is currently being reunited with family.

Police say Tanner was reported missing around 2 a.m. after last being seen at her mother's house on West Oakland Road and Pine Street in Lansing, just north of Saginaw Street. Officials were especially worried because Tanner mentally disabled and not fully capable of caring for herself

Circumstances about her disappearance weren't immediately clear, but officials said she might have been with an unknown subject who was possibly driving a silver Ford SUV.

An investigation is ongoing.
