Cedar Point, Michigan's Adventure Offer Thrill Seekers Chance To Camp Out Under Coasters

MUSKEGON (WWJ) - Have you ever wanted to spend the night inside an amusement park? Well, now's your chance.

Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, and Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon are offering thrill seekers a chance to pitch a tent and spend the night beneath a roller coaster.

The Coaster Campout is part of the National Roller Coaster Day celebration on August 16. On top of the thrill of sleeping in the park, guests will enjoy admission to the park, meals, exclusive ride time and commemorative memorabilia.

The campout at Michigan's Adventure takes place August 13 and 14. Campers can pitch a tent in the grass under the Corkscrew, but only 20 campsites are available. For $200, you'll get a campsite that can accommodate four people and a tent up to 10' x 10' in size. The price also includes admission to the park for Aug. 13, an evening meal and continental breakfast, as well as exclusive ride time on Shivering Timbers, Lakeside Gliders and Dodgem Cars after the park closes. The campout at Cedar Point takes place August 15 and 16. Campers can pitch a tent in the grass near the Cadillac Cars, but only 65 campsites are available. For $200, you'll get a campsite that can accommodate four people and a tent up to 10' x 10' in size. The price also includes admission to the park for Aug. 15 and 16, an evening meal, midnight snack and continental breakfast, as well as early ride time on Millennium Force and Rougarou in the morning.
