Extreme Lions Tailgate Package RV/Trailer Pops Up On Craigslist

By George Fox @GeorgeJFox

Are you ready to challenge the tailgate dominance of any Lions fan anywhere?

This 1974 Ford Champion RV and 1964 Travel Trailer is for sale on Craigslist with the asking price of $6k. The buyer's tailgate game will go from 0 to 100 faster than Barry accelerating out of a hole in the defense.

The current owner Jay Brown has gone to so many tailgates with this rig that he's forgotten exactly how many.

WXYZ's Andy Choi did a feature on Brown's tailgate in 2014 where they went inside for a closer look at the Detroit Lions themed remodeled recreational vehicle.

Decked out in all Honolulu blue and silver everything -- the interior has tributes to Lions greats of today and yesteryear  including Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford and of course Barry Sanders.

Brown shared some details on the package in an email. The only accessories included are the inflatable Lions players. All, the TVs aren't part of the deal.

It does include, "... everything to run a beer keg, on board stereo system, air horns ..." he wrote adding that the trailer has a functioning kitchen and bathroom.

This mean machine is certainly a spectacle. The buyer better be ready for the spotlight.

The last tailgate vehicle I posted is no longer available on Craigslist. I hope it found a new home.

Brown's fondest Lions memory was the 2010 Monday night Bears game. "We tailgated from 5 a.m. 'til midnight at Eastern Market. We had over 100 fans visit us ..." wrote Brown adding that news crews broadcast live from his spot.

There's a bonus Billy Sims signature somewhere in the vehicle. Brown said Sims, "... was very impressed."

Check out the listing.

Why is he giving up such a gem? Brown said he's relocating.
