Michigan Farm Asks People To Look Out For Four Escaped Steers

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP/WWJ) - A Michigan farm is asking people to be on the lookout for a few missing steers.

Connie Raska tells the Times Herald of Port Huron that five steers got away July 31 from the Raska farm in the 5000 block of Gleason Road in St. Clair County's Emmett Township, about 45 miles northeast of Detroit.

The newspaper says one was found at another farm, but Raska says the other four remain on the lam. She's worried they could be a traffic hazard.

More searches are planned Friday for the animals.

Two of the missing steers are reddish and white; the other two are black and white. They don't have ear tags and aren't tattooed or branded.

They have been seen as far west as Capac Road and as far south as M-21, according to Raska.

Anyone who sees the strays is asked to call 810-387-3540.
