We finally got our first of hopefully a couple double evictions for the summer. But first, Vanessa was blindsided by her nomination for eviction after Steve took himself on the block. Julie surprised the houseguests that it was a double eviction tonight and everyone had their game faces on. Even though two have been evicted they are now part of the jury who will crown the winner for the season. Let me recap last night's exciting live double eviction episode!

The Puma Gets Outplayed By The Poker Player

Vanessa felt Becky betrayed her for being nominated for eviction. Vanessa wanted to confront Becky about it and Becky did not feel like she needed to explain. Shelli's plan in knowing Vanessa was being nominated and being the target she would lay low. But in doing so, gave Vanessa an opportunity to fight for her survival. She went and had a conversation with James, convincing him that he is Shelli's target. With a unanimous vote, Shelli was evicted from the Big Brother house and now heads to jury. Julie did mention she may have a chance to come back in the game and we'll have to see if "The Puma," gets that opportunity. I was laughing at how Julie questioned Shelli about her feelings with Clay.

Steve Wins HOH

After the first eviction, Julie told us the houseguests were shown small clips of events that have happened this summer. Immediately all the houseguests knew this would be crucial to study, as it would be involved in the next HOH competition. Little did they know the next HOH competition would be the double eviction. After a few questions; James, Jackie, Meg and Liz were the first to be eliminated. Then it was Julia and Vanessa, leaving Steve, John and Austin to battle it out for power. In the end Steve won HOH and then immediately after the commercial break nominated Meg and Jackie for eviction.

John Saves No One

The battle for POV, James, John and Vanessa were selected to compete with the HOH and the two nominees. The competition was a "slipper slope," where the houseguests had to get three balls in three separate holes in numerical orders through a guided path. It looked to be almost anyone's to win, however James, John and Jackie quickly got their first two balls. However it came down to James and John as their balls were inching closer to the hole, but James ball fell off the course giving John the opportunity to win the POV. As the houseguests went back to the house John and Steve met in the "hammock room," to discuss the decision of whether to use the POV. Then after the commercial break, Meg and Jackie begged for John to use the POV on one of them. John said since he didn't need to save himself from eviction and doesn't know who the replacement nominee will be, John would not use the POV. As we were going to a commercial break, we saw a very freaked out Becky and Steve unable to form words. While Julia and Liz were sitting pretty and smiling. Both Jackie and Meg would like an explanation but Steve "needed a minute," which then cut to the commercial.

The Amazing Vegas Girl Goes To Jury

Coming back from the commercial break with an emotional Meg and a confused Jackie, by a vote of 6-1 the Amazing Race "BB Takeover" contestant was eliminated from the Big Brother house. The interview with Julie was so professional and I am impressed at how calm Jackie was. But the miscommunication with Jackie was when Steve was up for eviction during Jackie's reign as HOH; Steve was unaware of the backdoor plan for Austin. So I look forward to see what the DR sessions will be like. As the show concluded we saw Steve talking to himself saying, "Well that just happened," and yes it did!

My Top Three Houseguests This Week

  • Liz/Julia - They managed to get out of the double eviction and didn't really get blood on their hands sending one of their alliance members to jury. Plus if you saw how excited they were about Steve's nominations, you know they had some sort of hand with it.
  • Austin - Judas was in full force for the double eviction. So it's pretty clear the miscommunication would come from Austin and I can't wait to hear what he says in his DR.
  • Vanessa - This poker player went all in with the stakes high and came out of the double eviction.

My Bottom Three Houseguests This Week

  • Becky - Lost two allies in this double eviction and her HOH was not successful in her eyes as her target remains in the house.
  • Meg - Put up on the block during double eviction and lost another ally in this house.
  • Steve/John - These two loners, floaters and middle riders of the game finally showed their hand during the double eviction. But have created huge targets on themselves.

My Prediction for HOH & Nominations

Well with the turn of events from the double eviction, it would be surprising if someone not in the Sixth Sense alliance won HOH. I predict Austin will win HOH for this upcoming week and nominating John and Steve. Here's hoping my prediction is wrong, but as with the game, one week you could be on top and the next week find yourself at the bottom. With the double eviction we saw some surprising moves and it will be interesting to see how everything get's edited. So tune in on Sunday at 8pm on CBS 62 to find out who wins this week's HOH and whom will they nominate for eviction!
