Playboy Ranks Detroit As Nation's 'Unsexiest' City

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Are we going to take this lying down?

Apparently, no one in the region should be laying down -- ever -- according to a recent survey in Playboy Magazine, which ranked Detroit dead last on the list of "America's 25 Sexiest Cities."

The list calls Detroit the "limp D."

"Not to kick Motown when it's down, but our survey voted Detroit the unsexiest city in America. It has all the attributes respondents rate as their biggest turnoffs: crime, grime, lousy weather and supersize locals (it's the fourth-fattest city in the country, according to a 2014 Men's Fitness survey)."

Now, grammar notwithstanding -- no one has taught this magazine the difference between 'it's and 'its'? -- that's a pretty harsh indictment.

Motown is down? We're guessing they haven't visited Midtown lately, taken in Comerica or Ford Field, or stopped into Hopcat.

So, what is sexy? New York City tops the list, thanks to nightlife, easy transportation and an earlier survey that showed residents were interested in "kink."

Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, and San Francisco rounded out the top five.

The survey was reportedly based on "nightlife, attitudes and lifestyle."
