Red Wings Announce Promotions And Giveaways For 2015-16 Season
DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today announced the theme nights and promotional schedule for the upcoming 2015-16 season. Fans will have an opportunity to collect Red Wings themed T-shirts, winter hats and much more throughout the upcoming season.
Highlighting the exciting list of theme nights and giveaways are a pair of Hockey Hall of Fame Nights to honor Sergei Fedorov (Nov. 10 vs. Washington) and Nicklas Lidstrom (Feb. 23 vs. Columbus) for their induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame this season. All fans in attendance at each game will receive a collectible print of the Red Wings Hall of Famers.
New this season, the Red Wings will issue themed T-shirts for two of the team's Community Nights. The first 5,000 fans in attendance for Breast Cancer Awareness Night (Oct. 16 vs. Carolina) and Military Appreciation Night (Nov. 13 vs. San Jose) will receive the custom T-shirts. Kids Days return to Joe Louis Arena with an exciting slate of giveaways for the first 2,500 fans ages 12 and under, including Sling Bags on Nov. 8, Locker Room T-shirts on Nov. 29 (courtesy of DMC), Snow Globes on Dec. 20 (courtesy of DMC), Toothbrush Holders on Jan. 17 and Cereal Bowls on Feb. 14 (courtesy of DMC).
All fans in attendance for the Home Opener on Friday, Oct. 9 against the Toronto Maple Leafs will receive Glow Wands, courtesy of MotorCity Casino Hotel, and the first 7,500 fans will receive a Clear Tote Bag, courtesy of Allstate Insurance. Additionally, all fans in attendance on Tuesday, Oct. 13 against Tampa Bay will receive a Magnet Schedule, courtesy of Belle Tire, and all fans in attendance on Tuesday, Oct. 27 against Carolina will receive a Wall Calendar, courtesy of FOX Sports Detroit.
As the winter months roll into Hockeytown, the Red Wings will offer the first 5,000 fans in attendance an Orange Winter Hat, courtesy of Carhartt, on Wednesday, Nov. 18 vs. Washington and a Red Wings Bomber Hat on Monday, Dec. 14 vs. Buffalo. Returning this season by popular demand, the Red Wings will provide an Ugly Sweater T-shirt to the first 5,000 fans in attendance for the final home game before the holiday break on Tuesday, Dec. 22 against New Jersey.
New giveaway items throughout the season include a Red Wings Goalie Glove Oven Mitt (Dec.1 vs. Buffalo), a Red Wings Luggage Bag Tag (Feb. 8 vs. Florida), Red Wings Socks (Feb. 10 vs. Ottawa), a Red Wings Barbeque Apron (March 24 vs. Montreal) and a Red Wings Beach Towel (March 28 vs. Buffalo).
