No surprise here, Liz's target for the week, Becky Burgess the 27-year-old Retail Manager from Denver, Colorado was evicted by a unanimous vote. But first, Julie Chen had some pretty exciting announcements for next week and what has been going on since the POV ceremony. There were some great clips of James continuing his pranking, there was a clip of viewing this year's jury house and a segment featuring fan's of Steve. Here's my recap of what happened on last night's live eviction episode!

Johnny Mac Prepares For Next Week

Finding out that Liz decided not to use the veto on neither John nor Becky, both had different plans of attack to convince the house to stay for next week. Becky tried to convince the house that her number one target would Vanessa and that she'd be a bigger target than those still in the house. John on the other hand was going to lie as he said like a "dead fish," until tonight's live eviction. To secure his safety he wanted to work with Steve as well as form a relationship with the twins, Liz and Julia as well as Austin going into next week. His game play would be if he wins HOH going also after Vanessa as well, which Liz, Julia and Austin would all be on board with as their relationship with her has become strained.

All About Steve

Julie Chen made a nice transition from interviewing the houseguests to talking about Steve. It was interesting to see all the support from Steve's small hometown of Gouverneur, NY. Steve now has the whole town as a fan based going from an infant to the high school and to the elderly. Though he may have started a little quite in the game, Steve has started to come from the shadows of all the dominant players who've now left to be a threat in the game. Steve's mom has mentioned that her and Steve have watched the show since season one, so her and Steve are superfans and know the game quite well.

Becky Joins Shelli & Jackie in Jury

We got our first look of the Jury House before the live vote. Though we only saw the kitchen and living room area, it looks to be a big house ready to fit eight houseguests. Shelli seemed genuinely shocked to see Jackie get evicted from the house. Though Shelli would have hoped for Vanessa, Jackie explained and showed a video of her demise that all went down after Shelli's eviction. What surprised Shelli was Steve evicting Jackie because both ladies felt that Vanessa was in his ear. They'll have to wait and see if that was really the case with whoever was evicted next to find out.

Becky's interview with Julie was so casual or as many of the viewers would say "Basic," because Becky was in the voice of eliminated houseguest Jason, was "Basic!" She did try to make a big move on her HOH by targeting Vanessa. But being in a tunnel vision forgot that the houseguests ultimately decided whom they wanted to evict and went against her wishes as HOH her week. Becky also brought up a good point about those who stayed quite or I'd like to say "floaters," have finally started to emerge playing the game. She mentions Steve but also Liz as competition in this game. Getting the chance to come back in the house if she were to win, she'd not target Vanessa but actually go for Liz. We'll see if she get's that chance soon enough.

My Ranking of the Houseguests

  • Liz - Seems like the "Twin Twist," has been working in her favor. She won HOH this week, solidified her alliance with sister and Austin, but has also started to reach out to the "loners," of the game to work with her.
  • James - The prankster has laid low this week but is still a threat to Liz's side of the house. But his personality has kept him in this game as well as his competitive spirit.
  • Austin - Is in a lot of side alliance but his main being the twins and himself. He's doing a good job right now in the game, but I would personally like to see him or anyone for that matter get some "blood," on their hands. Come on Judas, do something!
  • John - Dodged eviction, still seen as a big target somehow in the house but only to Vanessa. He's played a very independent game but now realizing with the numbers dwindling he needs a partner to work with to stay in the game.
  • Vanessa - She's floating this week, dodge a backdoor but continues to drag herself down. Maybe she can build the trust of her "Austin's Angels," alliance to keep her in the house.
  • Steve - His eviction of Jackie really showed where he now see's his allegiance in the game. But he's definitely at the bottom of the totem pole for Liz, Austin and Julia. Hopefully he'll realize John is his "ride or die," buddy in this game and will work together to stay in the house.
  • Meg - Poor "Grandma," I hate to say this but she just may be this season's "floater," who'll make it to at least final three but be evicted at the end. She has yet to win a competition and she's been a pawn to get rid of strong players. We'll see if she can win a competition or continue to use her social game to stay in the house.

My Prediction For HOH & Nominations

I'm making a change in my prediction for this upcoming week's HOH. Now that John is in good terms with those in power this week, I think he'll throw this week's competition to show loyalty. With that being said this week's HOH competition takes a lot of patience but also some athleticism to win. "Grandma" Meg didn't have the latter and was eliminated first. So I predict Austin will win and put up Meg and James up for eviction and hopefully get some blood on his hand to backdoor Vanessa. However "expect the unexpected," as Julie Chen would say because who ever is evicted next week will get the chance to come back in the game competition against Shelli, Jackie and newly evicted houseguest Becky. That competition will probably tie to the HOH competition. Tune in however Sunday at 8pm on CBS 62 Detroit to see the conclusion of this upcoming week's HOH competition and who will be put up for eviction. Also ZingBot returns this upcoming week to the Big Brother house and I look forward to his "Zings," to the houseguests!
