Amber Alert Issued For 18-Month-Old Girl Missing In Detroit Area
DETROIT (WWJ) - An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 18-month-old girl missing in the Detroit area.
Jazz Barrett was last seen at a Kroger store on 8 Mile Road at Wyoming in Detroit.
She's described as a black female, 2 feet, 6 inches tall and 30 lbs with black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a wearing pink/peach jogging coat with leopard pants and orange shoes.
Jazz may be in the company of her mother, Donna Barrett, described as a black female, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 250 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue/green hospital scrubs.
Law enforcement officials said they are concerned for the child's safety and welfare "due to an ongoing investigation" — but more specific details were not immediately available.
The child was officially reported missing at 11:20 a.m. Police said the pair may be on foot, and it's not known where they might be headed.
