Missing 10-Year-Old Detroit Boy Found Safe

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police in Detroit confirm that a 10-year-old boy who was reported missing on Saturday night has been found.

Anthony Massey Jr. was last seen by his grandmother in the 13000 block of Sparling on Friday at around 9 p.m. He was later found safe around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

"He was at his grandmother's house at the Six Mile and Mound area. He left saying that he was going to the store," Anthony's mother Lashawn Massey told WWJ Newsradio 950.

Lashawn mentioned that Anthony often walks the store by himself.

"He just said he was going to the store and he never came back," Lashawn said. "This is not like him at all. He knows the neighborhood pretty well and he comes back home -- he knows everyone in the neighborhood, so we don't understand why he just disappeared."
