Two Men Stabbed To Death, Woman Critical, After Sterling Heights Attack, Grandmother Points Finger At Grandson

STERLING HEIGHTS (CBS Detroit) Two men, a 79-year-old and a 44-year-old, were found stabbed to death in a home in this quiet suburb after a woman called police saying her 20-year-old grandson was out of control and assaulting her family.

Police were dispatched to what was called in by the grandmother as a domestic violence incident the 39000 of Lea Court.

On arrival officers found a 79 year-old man dead from stab wounds. A 44 year-old man and 71-year-old old woman also had suffered significant stab wounds. The 44-year-old also later died, police said, while the 71-year-old is in critical condition at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.

A 20 year-old old man was taken into custody on the scene, police said. He's the only suspect, officers added. The attacked were identified as his grandmother, grandfather and uncle.

All subjects lived together in the home. According to police, the 20-year-old had been living with his uncle and grandparents for about two weeks since moving from North Carolina.

"The suspect has no prior criminal history and there is no apparent motive at this time," police said, adding the investigation continues.
