Man Shamed On Social Media For Driving Truck While Walking His Dog [PHOTO]

One time while working for CBS I looked out the window and there was a man driving his car while holding onto his dog's leash as the dog trotted along beside him. I thought what a great lazy way to walk the dog without actually walking. Walking takes effort and it's too hot for effort.

It's not something my dog would take kindly to, though. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them.

A man in Isanti County, Minn., is in hot water over the fact he was walking his dog while holding a leash while he was driving a car.

When the photo was posted online people instantly thought it was animal cruelty and that the car had to be moving too fast.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office didn't find any evidence that the driver of the car was going any faster than idle speed.

According to KARE11.com:

The man said he has walked the dog down CR-20 with his truck for five years. The man said he is in his late 60s and can no longer keep up with the dog on foot. He said they go about five miles per hour, and he claims the dog loves it. With little traffic on this road, he said they haven't had a problem before.

Do you think this is animal cruelty?
