Big Brother Season 17 Episode 32 Recap: Another Double Eviction

The game is what keeps me watching, however this season has just made me rethink why I am. But first, Meg and Julia are up for eviction and it would seem as though the power would lie in John and Steve for where their votes would go. Would they make a game changing move in evicting Julia, Liz's twin and one of the twists this season. Or would they vote out Meg, whom was a target of Vanessa the current HOH. Here's my recap of last night's live double eviction episode.

Sorry Grandma, Meg Goes To Jury

After James saved himself from eviction, Julia was the replacement nominee and was assured by Vanessa she was only a pawn. James made a great point about getting rid of one of the "Austwins," and taking a stab at the powerful trio. But that power would lie with John and Steve as Austin nor Liz would vote to evict Julia. Sadly though even though John and Steve weighed the optioned they played it safe. With a vote of 4-1 Meg Maley the 21 year-old server from New York City was evicted. However she wouldn't be the only one evicted that night, as Julie Chen informed the houseguests that there was a second eviction to happen within the 60 minutes.

James Sent Packing

After Meg's departure, the houseguests then went to compete for the first of two HOH competitions for the night. The competition consisted of looking a photos of evicted houseguests on a road trip. One by one the houseguests were eliminated when the final two, Liz and Julia faced off for power. Liz won over her sister Julia for the first HOH competition that night. After a brief commercial break and quick conversations, Liz nominates John and James for eviction. The POV competition consisted of a ball rolling game shaped as a boomerang. Liz and Austin were tied for first, where Steve and John had failed to even score any points. James attempted to score but failed and Julia scored more then both Liz and Austin to win the POV. Then at the POV ceremony John and James made their case but in the end Julia decided to keep the nominations the same. By a vote of 4-0 James Huling the 31year-old, retail associate from Wichita Falls, TX was evicted.

My Ranking Of The Houseguests

  1. Vanessa - These houseguests are not calling this poker player on her bluffs and playing all her hands. I find it hilarious that she thinks the jury hates her when they are impressed by her game play. But she's had a house of fools to play with.
  2. Liz - Playing dumb, having a showmance and having her sister in the house has benefitted her a lot. Plus it also helps to win 5 HOHs this season (currently tied with Vanessa).
  3. Julia - Finally won a competition but didn't use the POV to try and get the parasite that's in love with her sister. I will not be surprised if Julia's downfall is Liz evicting her and taking Austin to finale.
  4. Austin - Has won his fair share of competitions but isn't playing as great of a game as the final three ladies in the house.
  5. John - He's surprised that he's in the house, but I'm not considering he's floated his way through this game.
  6. Steve - Could have made a big move with John and got rid of Julia but went the safe route. Along with John, Steve has floated his way through this game.

My Prediction for HOH & Nomination

Since I've failed to predict what would happen last night, I predict whatever way this next week shapes up to be the twins and Austin are safe. I really hope not and that one of them or even Vanessa get's evicted. Like I said at the beginning, I watch Big Brother because of the game. However this cast has made me lose hope. Please Big Brother gods, I need a shake up in this game because it's been way too one sided, favoring the poker player, the wrestler and the twins. But granted the floaters and the rest of the houseguests before them just didn't band together to create a strong alliance. Tune in on Sunday at 8pm on CBS Detroit 62 to see who the next HOH will be and who they nominate!
