55-Year-Old Woman Goes Missing In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - A 55-year-old woman is missing in Detroit and police are hoping the public can help find her.

Police say Jennell Jennings was last seen around 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29 leaving her home in the 7800 block of Klein, in route to the store. It's in an east side neighborhood near Conant and Mt Elliot streets.

Jennings has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and takes medication for both. She regularly leaves her home and fails to return, according to police.

Jennings is described as a black female with a medium complexion, 5'5" tall and 165 lbs. with very short black hair. She usually holds both hands in a fist in front of her. She was last seen wearing a black coat, white t-shirt, black pants and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on Jennings' whereabouts is urged to contact police at 313-596-5740.
