Yesterday's "surprise," eviction episode was the best episode this season. Why? Because this was one time when all five houseguests had no idea what was going to happen. However they should have "expected the unexpected," as the catch phrase for the show. But first let me recap what happened last night! Because there was a lot that happened and with tonight's Live Eviction, you'll want to be caught up!

Scrambling For The Next Move

With the nominations, it was clear Vanessa wanted to take the showmance into the final four over John and Steve. The reasoning if during the final four one of them gets evicted she'd have a better shot at being in the finale with one of them. So, her main target for this week was to re-evict John and send him to jury. Steve felt betrayed but also knew he'd need to secure himself. John also did the same even offering to throw the POV. This was unexpected news for Austin, Liz and Vanessa to hear. However they were fine hearing that he'd want to throw it to ensure nominations stay the same and then Austin and Liz to evict him. What John didn't tell Austin, Liz or Vanessa was that his plan to throw would only happen if Steve wasn't going to win POV.

In Pieces For POV

For the POV competition, the houseguests were treated to a sneak peek to a new CBS comedy airing this fall after The Big Bang Theory, called, "Life In Pieces." Liz was definitely a fan with the previews and could see herself watching the show with her family outside of the Big Brother House. To win the POV this week, the houseguests had to solve a puzzle on a magnetized board the image of the cast of "Life in Pieces." The catch was the board would only be magnetized for 20 seconds and the houseguests would have to walk across a beam to a platform where they had to press a button to keep the board magnetized. If they fell or didn't press in time, the houseguests would then have 20 seconds to press the button to stay in the game and magnetize the board again. If they failed to do so, the houseguest would be eliminated from the competition.

Right out of the gate Vanessa's strategy was to solve the puzzle with the pieces before putting them on the board. This strategy was also similar to John's. But one thing Vanessa forgot to remember was to press the button after 20 seconds when the board demagnetized. This resulted in her being eliminated from the competition. Meanwhile, Austin struggled getting his footing to keep his board magnetized and fell a few times. Liz knew that Austin wasn't great at puzzles and when Vanessa was eliminated she felt the pressure was on for her to win this for them. Steve meanwhile kept doing his best to solve the puzzle. As the puzzles of the houseguests were getting completed by Liz and Steve, John noticed Steve was getting to close to winning, so he then decided to go for the POV win. Surprisingly the other houseguests didn't see John from behind to win the POV. This was a shock to Austin, Liz and Vanessa as they thought he would throw it. My favorite moment was actually seeing Vanessa in the DR crying and feeling real emotions of her plan being ruined and possibly having blood on her hands. For Liz and Austin they knew one of them was going up. In the end John did decide to use the POV on himself and Austin was put up for eviction.

Tie Breaker Sends Austin To Jury

Thinking Austin would be safe and putting his trust in Vanessa, John even told Austin that he would be willing to evict Steve and keep them in the house. This was surprising news for him to hear but news he was excited about. Even "Judas," was happy to hear how crazy John was getting. However this didn't really happen because as John said when he went to vote, "It's time to see some blood," the vote was tied. Which meant Vanessa had to cast the final decision and in doing so in front of the two nominees voted to evict Austin.

Austin Matelson, the 30 year old, professional wrestler from Woodland Hills, CA left pretty bitter and this was all a surprise for him. As he was walking out the house, he told Vanessa, she would not have the votes in jury for her to win. He'll be in for a huge surprise when he goes to the jury house and come to hear that they would possibly vote for her to win. Which the finale is less than a week away!

My Prediction for Nominations, POV & Eviction

As the show was ending last night we found out in a tiebreaker, Steve winning HOH, securing himself into the final three and to compete in the last HOH of the season. This is pretty safe to assume John will be safe this week. However the winner of the POV will actually be the one assured safe and will have the power to pick the final person going into the final three. So I won't predict nominations but I will predict the POV winner. I think with his win of earlier this week, John will win again and hopefully vote to evict Vanessa from the Big Brother house. But "expect the unexpected," tune in tonight-on CBS Detroit 62 at 8pm to see who gets evicted next. Plus don't forget to go to cbs.com/bigbrother and vote for America's Favorite Houseguests, where on finale night next week will be rewarded with $25K.
