Man Found Dead After Trying To Free Stuck Vehicle From Sand
HANOVER TWP. (AP) - Authorities say a Lansing-area man apparently collapsed and died after trying to free his stuck vehicle from sand in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula.
Police say the body of 65-year-old Gerald Cedarstaff of Grand Ledge was found by hunters Tuesday in a wooded area of Wexford County's Hanover Township.
Cedarstaff's vehicle was stuck in sand about a half-mile from his body. Investigators say Cedarstaff apparently tried to free the vehicle before walking from the area.
An autopsy has ruled out foul play, but a determination about cause of death is pending toxicology tests.
An investigation is ongoing.
