University Of Michigan President Gets 3 Percent Raise

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - University of Michigan President Mark Schlissel is getting his first raise since taking the Ann Arbor school's top job.

The university's Board of Regents voted Thursday to give Schlissel a 3 percent raise, bringing his base salary to $772,500. It will be retroactive to Sept. 1.

The percentage increase is in line with those received by his predecessor, Mary Sue Coleman, during her tenure.

He took office in July 2014, becoming the school's 14th president.
