Apparently it's possible to make a demolition derby more psychotic.

Obscenely expensive race car ... check.
Sadistic figure-eight track ... check.
Nerves of steel ... check.

This event hosted at the Indianapolis Speedrome in 2015 involves a figure-eight track that crosses itself. The drivers bravely drive through the intersection amazingly avoiding collisions.

If you can't stand a few minutes of this video -- just think about how this is a 3-hour endurance race.

From the perspective of the camera it seems like a perpetual pucker moment. I don't understand how there isn't a crash!
