Man Pleads Guilty In Theft Of Girl Scout's Money During Cookie Drive
LANSING (WWJ/AP) - A 50-year-old man has pleaded guilty in the theft of a Girl Scout's money during a cookie drive outside a south Lansing Kmart.
Thomas Dawkins, of DeWitt Township, pleaded guilty to two counts of larceny Monday. Prosecutors say Dawkins snatched a cash box with hundreds of dollars from the girl's table, where she was selling cookies on March 29 and ran off.
Dawkins faces a maximum of 10 years in prison when sentenced Nov. 12.
