Police Seek Tips In Case Of Man Touching Butts At Michigan Park

CADILLAC (WWJ) - Police in Cadillac, Michigan are looking for help to find a man they say has been sneaking up behind women, touching their buttocks and running away.

Two separate incidents have been reported this past week. In the first case, a woman told police she didn't know anyone was around until she was suddenly groped from behind while out walking in the morning at Lakefront Park.

Another woman reported a similar butt-groping as she was walking by the Chestnut Street boat launch parking lot, near the same park, six days later.

The women say the suspect is a heavy-set man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall.

There have been no arrests, but police did identify one potential suspect, according to a report by MLive Grand Rapids. He was interviewed Thursday and released.

"Since the behavior is so alarming, officers have been working diligently to identify the perpetrator," Cadillac Police Chief Todd Golnick told MLive.

An investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who has been a victim of this groper or who may have witnessed any of these incidents is asked to call investigators at 231-775-3491.
