The Detroit Lions shocked the sports world on Thursday, firing president Tom Lewand and general manager Martin Mayhew.

Team owner Martha Firestone Ford had little to say about the move outside of a very sterile statement issued to reporters on Thursday. Since then, every sports pundit in the country has voiced their opinion on the new direction the franchise is heading.

CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora spoke to Brandon Tierney and Tiki Barber on CBS Sports Radio on Friday about everything from who's actually running the team to what the chances of trading Matthew Stafford are.

"I tend to think that they're (the Fords) are taking their organization back, they're taking their franchise back," La Confora said. "Some members of the family -- whether it remains to be Martha or it becomes her daughter Sheila or someone else -- will be much more hands on and much more of something of a face of the franchise."
