Fire At Senior Center Kills 78-Year-Old Woman
WESTLAND (WWJ) - An elderly woman is dead following a fire at a senior center in Westland.
According to WDIV-TV the 78-year-old woman died in the fire Sunday afternoon at Westhaven Manor -- a senior center near Ford and Wayne Roads. Police say the woman's husband, who was there at the time of the fire, was unharmed.
The fire allegedly started in the pantry but the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
