Dan Leach's 2015 NFL Locks: Week 10 'Let's Go 5-0 Again'

By Dan Leach
@dtmleach

It's almost hard to believe we've already steamrolled our way to Week 10 of the NFL season. My NFL picks are really heating up now (off a 4-1 week nine!), helping you win your pick-em-pool, embarrass your friends, and just become a more whole football fan and human being. I'm taking a look at five games this week with the best value and rating them on a sliding lock of the week 1-10 Bagels and Lock scale. And……away….we…..go!

DTM Song Of The Week: "Baba O Riley (Teenage Wasteland)" By The Who

We will go with some irony this week and a song from by far one of my favorite bands and one of the greatest of all-time in The Who's brilliant "Baba O Riley." The song speaks of a teenage wasteland and unless you were a teenager or older in 1991 , you simply don't remember what it felt like the last time the Lions won in Green Bay -- 24 freaking years ago!

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers, Sunday 1 p.m. EST, TV: FOX, RADIO: 97.1 The Ticket (Packers -11)

We all know the Lions winless streak at Lambeau all too well. Its been 24 years since the Lions sniffed a victory on the mildly frozen November tundra in G.B. and while the Lions have an almost historic midseason fashion in their previous history, cleaned house, it will not change anything in this contest. The Packers have lost two in a row, are angry, and are about 6,856 times better than Detroit right now -- and that will be very apparent Sunday in Wisconsin. Sorry Lions fans: The streak will live for at least one more year!

5.5 on DTM Bagels and Lock of the Week Meter – Packers (-11)
PACKERS 34 LIONS 17

Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Bucs, Sunday 1 p.m. EST, TV: FOX (Bucs -1.5)

The Boys had a great shot to keep their playoff hopes alive last Sunday night against their rival Philly, getting the game to OT without Tony Romo, but then they realized just how much they miss Romo as they lost for the 8th straight time without him under center. The Bucs and overall #1 pick Jameis "Crab Legs" Winston are starting to show some signs of life and I look for them to play a complete 60 minutes in this one, putting Dallas fully out of their playoff possibility misery even before Romo comes back for their next game.

6.5 on DTM Bagels and Lock of the Week Meter – Bucs (-1.5)

New Orleans Saints at Washington Redskins, Sunday 1 p.m. EST, TV: FOX (Saints -1)

This Saints team has been a riddle, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a riddle all season long and now they face a Skins team that has given their fans little to cheer about, except an epic comeback against the Bucs a few weeks ago. The Saints still have faint playoff hopes and a stumble here would all but end that. Look for N.O. to come out firing and not stop until this game is no longer in doubt.

7.1 on DTM Bagels and Lock of the Week Meter – Saints (-1)

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks, Sunday 8:30 p.m. EST, TV: NBC (Hawks -3 )

We haven't seen Seattle look like Seattle for much of this season, while the Cards have looked much like the Seahawks have in past years. Something has to give in this one and I think we are going to see a Seattle team that we have become accustomed to in big games on Sunday Night in the Emerald City.

7.4 on DTM Bagels and Lock of the Week Meter – Hawks (-3 buy down to 2.5)

Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens, Sunday 1 p.m. EST, TV: CBS (Ravens -6)

The Jags might only have two wins so far in the 2015 season but much like the Raiders, this sad sack franchise is truly on the rise. QB Blake Bortles seems to really be coming into his own and he has a ton of weapons at his disposal on offense. The Ravens seemed mired in their worst slump in recent memory and I think the Jags will make it a little worse on Sunday with not just a cover, but a good chance at an outright win just like I told you about the Colts last week against undefeated Denver.

ODDS TIDBIT

Latest Super Bowl 50 Odds — The New England Patriots now the favorite at 2-1. Packers are on a two game losing streak are somehow still the second favorite at 8-1. Arizona is the third selection at 9-1. If you're wondering, the Lions are at the bargain price of 2000-1!
