Dearborn Couple Among Dozens Killed In Lebanon Bombings

DEARBORN (WWJ/AP) - A Dearborn couple was among dozens killed in bombings in Lebanon, and among three to die from the Michigan city that's long been home to a large Lebanese community.

A service was held Friday at the Islamic Center of America for Leila Taleb and Hussein Mostapha, The Detroit News reported. The blast injured their 3-year-old son, Haider.

The service also honored Leila Mazloum, who moved to Dearborn last year but was back in Beirut with family when she died.

Relatives say she was shopping when the bombings occurred Thursday in a Beirut suburb. Her daughter was mildly injured.

Taleb's brother, Mehdi Taleb, says Haider is in the hospital, constantly asking about his parents.

Schools across Lebanon were closed Friday as the country mourned victims of the twin suicide bombings.
