FBI: Waterford Man Created 100-200 Child Porn Videos Of Girls He Met Online

DETROIT (WWJ) - An Oakland County man is behind bars after federal agents raided his home and found child porn on his computer.

A six-page federal complaint, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Detroit, accuses Virgil Napier Jr. of Waterford Township of possessing and receiving child pornography.

The arrest came after the FBI investigators came to believe that Napier or someone else in his home had been accessing files from a website known to host child porn. Investigators obtained a warrant, and during a  Nov. 16 search found that Napier had "accessed multiple website postings that included depictions and discussions of sexual acts involving children."

The FBI agent  involved says in the complaint that Napier — who allegedly admitted to investigators that he is sexually attracted to children —  started collecting the child porn five years ago and has created 100 to 200 videos. He allegedly used chat rooms to meet girls between 10 and 14 years old, convinced them to pose in sexually explicit positions and recorded videos of them.

The complaint offers two specific examples of illegal files Napier allegedly viewed: One involving a video of a girl about 5-years-old performing a sexual act with an adult man. Another, the complaint said, was a video of a girl about 12 exposing herself to the camera.

Napier remains jailed pending a detention hearing scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
