Tips Sought In Case Of Runaway 16-Year-Old Farmington Girl

FARMINGTON (WWJ) - Police in Farmington are looking for help to find a missing teen who they believe ran away from home Monday night.

Anitha Gardenia Barnes — who goes by the nickname "Tookie" — was last seen in the evening hours of Nov. 23 in the area of Hawthorne and 9 Mile Road in Farmington.

She's described as a 16-year-old black female, around 5 feet, 2 inches all and 155 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair. Barnes recently shaved both sides of her head, but left the top of her hair long.

She as last seen wearing a black and white wool coat and black and red checkered boots.

Anyone who may have seen this missing teen or who has information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Farmington Public Safety Department at 248-474-4700, and select option number two.
