Dearborn Man Charged On Several Counts Related To Child Porn; Cell Phone Recorded Sex Acts With Minor

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Dearborn man is facing child pornography charges and the victim says he's been abusing her for eight years.

Mwangi Mumpfield was arrested for having open alcohol in his car and for failing to register as a sex offender from an earlier sex assault conviction.

A check of his cell phone showed multiple videos of him having sex with the now 15 year old girl.

WARNING: CONTENT IS EXPLICIT AND DISTURBING [CRIMINAL COMPLAINT] 

A complaint filed in federal court says a concerned citizen called about Mumpfield's relationship with the girl. The victim told investigators that Mumpfield had sex with her two or three times a week for the past eight years and recorded the encounters on his cell phone. The girl thought she was pregnant, but a test was negative.

Mumpfield has been charged with producing and possessing child pornography.
