DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Fans expect their multi-million dollar hero athletes to take any abuse heaped on them, but if you come at Justin Verlander, you'd better come correct.

One guy learned this the hard way after Verlander expressed shock at the Lions last-second loss to the Packers on national TV Thursday night.

Verlander said he was "speechless."

And then a fan tried to pile on and responded, saying something less than polite.

And Verlander wasn't having it.
