Man Arrested For Allegedly Drunk Driving Down Wrong Way Of I-69 Near Lansing

WINDSOR TWP. (WWJ) -- Police say a man has been arrested after he was found drunk driving the wrong way on a major highway early Saturday morning.

Eaton County Sheriff's Lieutenant Mark Wriggelsworth said that the 33-year-old man from Bellevue was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-69 near Lansing Road in Windsor Township.

Authorities said the situation was even more dangerous due to the foggy conditions.

"We are also thankful to all the witnesses that called 911," Wriggelsworth said in a press release.

An investigation is ongoing.
