Lions QB Matthew Stafford has thrown for seven TDs with no interceptions last two games and passed for 355 yards in last series meeting. ... Theo Riddick leads NFL RBs with 60 receptions, most for Lions through 12 games since 1960. ... WR Calvin Johnson had six catches for 111 yards in last meeting. ... New Rams offensive coordinator Rob Boras will be calling plays for first time since 2003 when he was with UNLV. ... Rams lost two defensive stalwarts for season this week with E Robert Quinn (back) and S T.J. McDonald (shoulder) to undergo surgery. ... QB Case Keenum makes second start of year ahead of slumping Nick Foles after missing two games with concussion. ... Aaron Donald has eight sacks, tied for NFL lead among DTs, and one shy of total from last year when he was NFL Defensive Rookie of Year. Donald also leads team with 18 tackles for loss, 33 quarterback pressures and 16 quarterback hits. ... RB Todd Gurley's 566 yards rushing in his first four career starts are most in Super Bowl era, but he's averaging 42.7 yards per game with 3.1-yard average per carry the last four games. He had just nine carries each of last two games. ... Fantasy tip: Facing banged-up secondary, Johnson could be poised for another big game. Besides McDonald, CB Janoris Jenkins (concussion) is iffy and CB Trumaine Johnson (thigh) is expected back but missed last two games for Rams.
