2 Unsolved Murders In Detroit Last December Haunt Family Members

DETROIT (WWJ) - Two separate murders took place in December of last year, both involved young women and neither has been solved.

It's been a year since the shooting deaths of Grosse Pointe teenager, Paige Stalker as she sat in car on Detroit's east side and Christmas day is the tragic reminder of the death of Christina Samuel.

As Newsradio 950's Stephanie Davis reports, both cases involve young women, one a high school student the other a recent college graduate.

The cash reward in the Paige Stalker's case is up to 150,000 dollars. The University Liggett high school student was the only one killed as she and others sat in a car last December near the Detroit Grosse Pointe border.

Just a few miles away, on Christmas day, 22-year old Christina Samuel was gunned down as she sat in a car with a friend.

"You know, my sister never did anything to anyone, she didn't have an enemy on this earth ... and I'd just like for anyone who has any information that could help solve her case to help out where they can," said Chris Moore - the older brother of Christina.

Moore says police have the cell phone from one of the suspects.

"It's really confusing to me how you can speak with the person who was in the vehicle saw the shooters , know the shooters and come up with nothing in a case like this," he added.

No arrests have been made in either case but Tuesday night there was an unconfirmed report that police had two persons of interest in the Paige Stalkers case.
