Farmington Hills Family Escapes Christmas Morning House Fire
FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- A family of five escaped a house fire on Christmas morning in Farmington Hills.
The blaze took place on Nottingwood Street, near Orchard Lake and 12 Mile Roads. The fire was called in at about 3 a.m. while the parents wrapped Christmas gifts.
The family home was damaged, but the parents and their three children were not injured. Officials say the fire started in the basement of the home.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
