Dylan Larkin Makes 2016 NHL All-Star Roster

Red Wings rookie Dylan Larkin has made his first NHL All-Star game. The 19-year-old has electrified the league in his debut season, and is tied for the NHL lead in plus/minus. He's also second among rookies in total points (27), behind only Arizona's Max Domi.
Larkin has 14 goals and 13 assists this season, and has a plus-22 through 39 games. He was the only Red Wings player selected to the 40-man All-Star roster. Washington, Nashville and Florida lead all teams with three All-Stars each.
After becoming the first teenager to make the Red Wings' opening day roster in 15 years, Larkin also broke a little Wings All-Star history.

This year's All-Star festivities will be in Nashville from January 30-31. It will be the first season the NHL uses a 3-on-3 format, and it will come in a three-game tournament instead of a single game. This season has also been the first year that the NHL used a 3-on-3 format in its overtime games.
For the weekend, Larkin will play under Panthers coach Gerard Gallant, who is leading the Atlantic Division's team.
