Legoland Competition Draws 100 Hopefuls Bidding For Master Builder Job

AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) - A unique competition is taking place this weekend that may peak the interest of adults and kids alike -- with the top prize being a full-time job.

If you loved playing Legos as a kid, or still do as an adult, you may want to check out to the Legoland Competition Saturday and Sunday at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills.

Over 100 hopefuls will compete to become "Legoland Discovery Center Michigan's Master Model Builder" and the winner will be offered the opportunity to work with Legoland.

The Master Model Builder is a full-time, hands-on role that helps maintain and update miniland models -- as well as develop new features, exhibitions, and build new models at Legoland Discovery Center.

The competitions will feature participants displaying their skills by taking part in creative challenges and building original LEGO brick models in timed rounds for judged competitions.

It all starts Saturday at 10 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. and will then continue on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
