2 People Found Dead Inside Monroe County Home

RAISINVILLE TWP., (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say two people have been found dead at a home in Monroe County.

The discovery was made Wednesday afternoon at a home on Heiss Road near Gruber Road in Raisinville Township, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit, by a home health care worker who was making a routine visit to the house.

Details including cause of death and the names of the victims, believed to be a man and a woman, weren't immediately released.

Officials say a small fire had ignited inside the living room of the house, but most likely didn't contribute to the victims' deaths.

An investigation is ongoing.
