MSP:1 Dead In Police Situation In Dearborn Closing Hubbard Road Near Fairlane Town Center

DEARBORN (WWJ) -- One person is confirmed dead after shots fired in Dearborn closed a section of Hubbard, near the Southfield Service Drive, close to the Fairlane Town Center.

WWJ's Lance Howard in Chopper 950 reporting first from over the scene:

"At least a dozen Dearborn police cruisers and possibly other jurisdictions in the area closing Hubbard Drive between the Southfield south service drive and Auto Club Drive. We do see a vehicle pinned between two police cruisers -- this vehicle does have bullet holes through it's windshield possibly a window shot out on the right side of the vehicle as well --police have crime scene tape out -- they might be here a while," said Howard.

 

"There were tying to do a traffic stop -- it was a female in the car and all of the sudden there were shots. I heard the shots - four or five gun shots," a witness told WWJ.

Bullet casings were marked along Hubbard Drive.

Michigan State Police confirm that the woman that was involved in the incident has died.
