Lions Hire Strength And Conditioning Coach Harold Nash Jr.

The Lions announced Friday they have hired strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash Jr.
Detroit's strength and conditioning staff was one of the first departments to see change, as new general manager Bob Quinn fired several soon after taking the job. He's been busy in recent weeks, firing many others from the front office, including those from the football operations, scouting and marketing departments.
Nash is the latest one to blaze a trail from Foxborough, Mass., the Patriots' head quarters, to Detroit. Quinn spent 16 years in New England before being hired as Lions GM. Since 2011, Nash has been the Patriots' head strength and conditioning coach, and helped coordinate player-development programs during his time as an assistant there from 2005-2010.
Reports earlier this week indicated that the Patriots had already "parted ways" with Nash, and speculation was that he could follow Quinn to Detroit.
In addition to Nash, Quinn had already hired former Patriot Kyle O'Brien as director of player personnel. He spent three seasons in Jacksonville, but before that worked for 10 years in New England with Quinn.
