Hockey fans in Detroit know just how good 19-year-old Dylan Larkin is becoming, but now he has a chance to showcase his skills to the world at the NHL All-Star Weekend in Nashville.

And his did so in a flash...

Larkin took part in the Fastest Skater competition on Friday night and not only won, but set the record for fastest time....ever.

As you can see, Larkin tripped and STILL broke the record with a time of 13.172 seconds. The old record of 13.386 was set by Mike Gartner in 1996.

Red Wings fans, this kid may be the start of something special in Hockeytown.
